This was the week of mission reminiscing. With 3 different family members getting their mission calls. Above is me back in 2006 at my mission in Carlsbad, California Melanie's little brother Alex got his mission call to Richmond Virginia, where my uncle is actually the mission president. It was interesting to see my Aunt and Uncles photo inside the pages of his mission call, and it even mentioning my grandparents names. Next up was Melanie's little sister Samantha who got called to the Colorado Springs, Colorado mission. The last mission call of last week was my Step brother Chris. Right before he opened his call Melanie and I were joking about how funny it would be if Chris got sent to the same mission as her brother Alex. Sure enough Chris got sent to Richmond Virginia Spanish speaking. All I could do was laugh out loud. I am super excited for Alex, Samantha and Chris. Sometimes a mission call can seem random, but I am sure they have each been called to a place where they are needed, and will each learn a lot. Another fun thing from the last week was a fun night out in SLC. Me and Melanie were having a late Valentines Day date and decided to go shopping and go see the Cinderella Ballet. We got the cheapest seats possible, and were literally the farthest back you could be from the stage. Before the ballet we tried to eat Mexican food at the Blue Iguana, but they were packed and we settled for the Blue Lemon, which was surprisingly delicious. Last exciting thing for the week was I got tickets to see Postal Service in concert! They are coming to SLC the end of May, and it should be an awesome show. Spotify Playlist.
